BREAKING NEWS! Microgaming Casinos Change Software For USA Players!

Although we have known for some time about this change coming June 1st to most if not all of the Microgaming brands the details have never been very clear to us on how this will work. I promiss you my phone and emails are going bizzark at the moment and as soon as I have more details you will get them from me. This is a massive and huge surprise and GOOD NEWS! We have all been waiting for this! BUT remember this is for existing players only for now not new players from the USA!!

    Dear Players,

As of the 1st of June, 2010, play for US players on CasinoShare and Grand Mondial will be moved off the Microgaming platform and we will begin licensing software from a brand new software provider. The new software will have a similar look and feel, stability and most of the features you have become accustomed to, but with some notable changes. This change has been made in order to ensure that we are able to continue offering safety, service and exciting gaming to all our customers.

This new casino, called CasinoShare US, launches on the 17th of May, 2010, and will offer players the same look and feel as the Microgaming software they all know and love, as well as all of the features and most of the games they have come to expect from an online casino.

When is this all going to happen?
All US players at CasinoShare will be migrated to CasinoShare US by the 17th of May, 2010, whilst all US players at Grand Mondial players will be migrated on the 31st of May, 2010. From a player perspective, the migration process will be completely seamless and won't be required to download new software or open a new account. They will utilize their existing accounts and their balances will be transferred.

hmmmm, wonder if that means we will now get the new games and maybe some of the progressive jackpots back.

guess we'll have to wait and see exactly what this new change will have to offer.

Yes but what kind of software, rtg [yuck] personally i still havent seen anything worth a dam except for land base casinos graphics. Rtg, Rival, Playtech, Vegas technology, to me all the graphics are sad compared to micro. The only one that seems anywhere close is the Wagerworks software, and of course i cant play there.

Its actually going to be like Microgaming software, possibly exactly the same, with a few slight changes.

Ceks don't be talking that chit you and I both know that is not true! That is all we need is FALSE rumors such as that! Let me remind you once again since you do not live in the states it is not illegal to gamble BUT for the banks to process transactions it is. I am not and will not let this very important thread get derailed with conspiracy theories! So for that Reason I have edited certain keywords from your post!!

This will be a new name again people with the same games except a few will be removed etc, new owners, new region it will accept players! I would have thought Ceks and the others that have been enjoying the MG platform to it's fullest would actually be happy for us fellow Streak members that have been denied for so long!

No, its not illegal to gamble in the US, but its illegal for the banks to process transactions to the online casinos(that is not paying taxes and fees to the gov.)...hm...whats the difference? I say the gov. found away to get through that "not illeagal to gamble" law without any major discussions...
Im surprized they develop a brand new software just so you US players can continue playing...when the "old" software was working so good except for the new games were not accessable for you US players. Why all the expensive work?
Well, ok, lets hope this "slight changes" are for the good to you US players! Maybe you even are allowed to play Thunderstruck 2 slot(with some minor changes made to it) in the new software. LOL

Re: BREAKING NEWS! Microgaming Casinos Change Software For USA Players!

Bottom line is MG is doing this for one reason and one reason only, they want to be in compliance of the UIGEA so when the big Vegas dogs have their way and all this can be done in the states nice and legal MG can be welcomed as well..

At this point before June 1st they have complied and pulled out of the states and big deal so what if they sold a few games to a brand new software company nothing wrong with that right :)

Ceks for the record so you are clear about this...
Title VIII of the Act is also known as the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 (or UIGEA). This title (found at 31 U.S.C. § 5361–5367) prohibits the transfer of funds from a financial institution to an illegal Internet gambling site, specifically excluding fantasy sports, online lotteries, and horse/harness racing.
