anyone following the decorah eagles this year? they have 3 eggs and
should be hatching in a few weeks, I watch them every year. except last
year when they nested in a diff place. it's really cool to show them feed the
babies once they hatch.

the same pair of eagles mate very year, which I think is very cool

the new nest is huge, about 4 feet across, 3.5 feet deep, approximately 460 pounds,
and will gain approx 200 lbs every year. the old one was like 6 feet and over 1,000 pounds

eagles are very big birds, lol

Size - A female bald eagle's body length varies from 35 to 37 inches; with a wingspan of 79 to 90 inches. The smaller male bald eagle has a body length of 30 to 34 inches; with a wingspan ranging from 72 to 85 inches.
An eagle's average weight is ten to fourteen pound

Guess that is why they say women start "nesting" when they are pregnant huh?
