I'm bored too, Anton but love the thread you've started. I like to read too. Sometimes spend many hours reading and love the cookies as well and if i need a good gothic, i can just go out my front door as this is England and there are so many gothic, creepy buildings all around me. Everything here is so old.

Working at Tony's house on XMaS day a handful of yrs. ago. I was with a catering company- the staffer sent me and some ditzy chick. I had NO CLUE (as usual) who The Scotts were. If you don't know- Google!

It was THE MOST AMAZING HOUSE, PROPERTIY I've ever been on!!!!!!!!! And that says someting cause I've been to mansions all my life. I think TOP GUN paid for a lot of that pad!

The house had this dome, when you left the kitchen on the way to one of the lounging rooms... They had a smaller, built to scale painting of the Sistene Chapel. Frikin' amazing. He and his wife had twins about 3 at the time and instead of motor cars, they had motor "planes"!

One gig I will never forget! Apperently- Tony had been in Spain and fell in love with a set of water, white wine, red, and champange glasses. He bought a service for 10. He thought they were 100 bucks a glass till he got home and found he paid 1000 bucks a glass. I got pissed off when the ditz I was working with told me! I said "I didn't need to know, I try not to break anything" And "Now you probably jinxed me!" All went well, Tony came in to check and ask us to trade them out as the party moved on. I said Oh you mean your 99centStore glasses! I just got a sideways glance.....

Nicest people and super generous. We made good wage, being XmAs, but he tipped us each 300.00 When I got back down to the lowlands... The next day, I loaded my Neteller card. D'UH! Like any good gambler would do!

I know it was books, I need glasses, can't see for shit! But, love to read.

The Lord of the RIngs movies...? I've met Viggo Mortenson. He was married to Exene Cervanka (wikipidea) after she was married to John Doe. Viggo came to see John play (singer songwriter, awesomely beautiful man) and the two were at a table just shooting the shit. But I met Viggo when Exene and John, Dave Alvin - THE KNITTERS were playing. She said sit down Liz. Oh do you know Viggo, he reaches across the table dripping dripping sex appeal right in the eye "It's nice to meet you Liz" AHHHHHHH Such gentlemen!!! My daughter FREAKED, she's a sci-fly fan. Told her to come out with me more- ya never know????

Those maggots remind me of whictygrubs (sp- in Australia. I'd eat a grub, I'm sure I've had way worse in my life. But maggots, not if I knew it!

And Anton- Ya, I'm with you on the movies. My friends gasp when I pick, and I usually get my pick!! "OH NO! Liz is gonna get some strange ass bent independent"

Ok, ya'll can go pick up your books now I know theres some indie movies I haven't seen. And as soon as I get my glasses, I can hit all with sub-titles!!

Well Liz I can honestly say I have never eaten a witchetty grub in my life, or kangaroo for that matter and I don't intend to start.

Pulp Fiction must be the movie I hate the most, I absolutely abhor it. Love the lethal weapon movies too guys.
