Sports Betting has launched for two locations in partnership with Kambi.
Following the recent launch of Arizona’s regulated Sports Betting market, Desert Diamond Casinos and Entertainment, which is an enterprise of the Tohono O’odham Nation, has opened Sportsbooks at both its Sahuarita and West Valley locations.
Operated via Kambi’s Sports Betting offering, Desert Diamond acts as one of the only Arizona-owned Sports Betting locations in the Grand Canyon State.
“We are thrilled to offer a whole new level of gaming entertainment to our guests,” said Mike Bean, CEO of the Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise. “The new Desert Diamond Sportsbook will also add more excitement to our gaming floors, where there is something for everyone to enjoy.”
The properties have begun operations with an initial offering of eight betting kiosks at the West Valley sportsbook and six at the Sahuarita location.
As the Arizona market matures there are plans in place to expand both locations with added kiosks and live over-the-counter betting.
The casino also intends to implement an online Sports Betting solution in the near future.
“Hosting our own Sportsbook using the Kambi platform is unique in Arizona and ensures the more personalized service that
is the hallmark of Desert Diamond Casinos,” concluded Bean.
This follows a series of expansions made to both Desert Diamond properties including improvements to the casino floor,
launch of live craps, and the resumption of 27/7 operations.
Diamond Desert first signed its multi-year contract with Kambi in November. On the partnership Kristian Nylén, CEO at Kambi, struck a positive tone.
“We are very proud to partner with Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment, a deal which further strengthens Kambi’s
strong relationship with tribal casino operators. Desert Diamond Casinos is renowned for offering world-class gaming and
4 entertainment experiences and complements Kambi’s strategy to partner with market leaders.
“We look forward to working with them closely to deliver high-quality and exciting Sports Betting experiences to both
its on-property patrons and online customers in the state of Arizona.”
