Nevada Sportsbooks turned a profit of nearly $72m during the month of November, a record-breaking figure. This followed a record low October. Sportbooks had the worst week in 35 years during the month of October, according to BetMGM's director of trading Jeff Stoneback.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board recently released the exact November figure, which was $71,972,000 in profit for the state. This broke the previous record of $61.8m from November 2020 by more than $10m.

None of this comes as a surprise, considering the number of events going on during the month. November has been a high-traffic month for Sports Betting statewide. The NBA and NHL regular seasons went on throughout November. The end of the World Series continued into the month as well. The NFL and college football were in full swing during the month, and college basketball started in November as well. There was about $1.09bn bet on sports in November, based on the Nevada Gaming Control Board's reports.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board's report said $53.1m of the profit came from football bets. A breakdown of the figures showed $10.2m was from basketball, $4.4m from parlay cards, $3m from hockey and $2.9m came from other sports. Nevada bettors won $1.63m on baseball future bets that were cashed. The rest of the ledger was in the black for Sportsbooks.

Of the total profit, more than $34.9m came from mobile apps.
