Here’s a primer on casino comps. Just remember this golden rule: If you don’t ask for a casino comp, you’ll never get one.
What is a Casino Comp?
A “comp” is an abbreviation for complimentary. They are the free goods and services provided by the casino to its players. Comps can range on the low end to free drinks and free valet parking all the way up to free room, food, beverage and transportation.

When I saw the title of your post- Casino Comps 101 I pictured someone at a board- using a pointer!

Personally, I have no shame. And since I don't go to vegas anymore, I can tell you yes, your'e correct. My MoM used to have super VIP pts. She played a TON of these I had comps at Monte Carlo in vegas as well, but if they don't see you for a while.......

Get a players card! A few times, the pt's got me money and a cpl. meals. If your playing at a table, they will keep track of your action (if your there long enough and that adds pt's. And a AMAZING run on B.J. will get you comped. When you have a stack of green 25.00 and black 100.00chips the floor people TEND to take notice!!! You're taking there money and they don't dig it!!

I have a comp. story for you... I was with a freind in RENO. We both lost our behinds. I had 100.00 wired and told my friend we'd split the money- he was staying another night, and I was outta town in a few hours. I had a B.J. session that was pure magic!! Floor man says- Hi! introductions... He say's can I rate your play? I said no- I'm outta here shortly. Few minutes later I changed my mind. He says give me last name, brb. Oh and I've been rating your play all along! I was with Gary my X's friend. He was one table over and I'm tossing 100 chips at him or asking people to pass them. So now my time is running out, I'm on this killer roll tipping like crazy etc. He says we'd like to offer you dinner and we'll pay for your room. He said dinner and I said "cool, but I don't do COFFEE SHOPS or BUFFETS! The whole floor was laughing. I called home, cause I was SO TEMPTED to stay!!! Anyway, I got them to comp. Gary's room for one night. Soon as I was in the cab on my way- I was sooo grateful to get out. I came winner almost a grand. Counting what I brought and the wire. REDEMPTION!! Coming from the gutter up!!

The first cpl. years of playing online- I'd send a nice letter, or speak with someone at the casino re: online comps. Like what is the players reward/comps. cause if I played in a casino.... Some were cool and a few told me- go head- play at a land casino, play on the freeway for all we care <<< ok slight exageration
