The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, owner of Foxwoods Resort Casino and MGM Grand at Foxwoods, announced Monday it has signed a partnership agreement with GameAccount Network to pursue online gambling opportunities in the United States.
London, England-based GameAccount is one of Europe’s leading privately owned Internet gaming system and software providers.
The alliance will initially focus on play-for-fun online opportunities then move to real-money wagering if legislation is enacted to allow that, the Mashantucket tribe said in a press release Monday. Other operators could join their network, the release states.
“In 2013, Foxwoods.com will launch a compelling virtual Internet gaming offering, future-proofed with an automatic upgrade path for real-money Internet gaming should regulation permit,” the releases states.
