Finland Wants to Raise Gambling Age

Finland's government has proposed legislation that would increase the legal age for gambling machine use from 15 to 18.

Gambling industry representatives would be made responsible for enforcing the law and for supervising premises, and failure could lead to prosecution.

The legislation also stipulates that marketing messages should not target the under-aged.

Finland's president will read the bill to Parliament next week.
