Popcorn Lover? Check this out!

If you are a popcorn lover like me you will appreciate this easy way to pop popcorn. I found this recipe and some people commented that you don't even need the oil or salt. I have to watch my sodium and the box kind is hard to find without salt and costs a lot. I made this without the oil and salt, just put 1/2 cup popcorn in a lunchbag and folded the top a few times.


I did add chili powder and parmesan, but I should have sprayed with something like I Can't Believe its not butter spray first so the seasonings would have stuck, lol. However this is so easy and cheap. Play around with it and get it to YOUR liking. Lots of possiblities with spices, even cinnamon and sugar would be good, lol.

Microwave Popcorn


Ingredients

1/2 cup unpopped popcorn
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste


Directions

1.In a cup or small bowl, mix together the unpopped popcorn and oil. Pour the coated corn into a brown paper lunch sack, and sprinkle in the salt. Fold the top of the bag over twice to seal in the ingredients.
2.Cook in the microwave at full power for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes, or until you hear pauses of about 2 seconds between pops. Carefully open the bag to avoid steam, and pour into a serving bowl

We always used to cook popcorn in a paper bag in a micro when I worked in the school canteen, only thing you need to watch is that your micro doesn't spark, that did happen to me once.
