Both online and retail Sportsbooks yet to receive state approval.
Research by the Action Network, a provider of Sports Betting data and odds, has claimed the regulation and launch of
Connecticuts Sports Betting market will miss the start of the NFL season due to a number of delays

The Action Network, a supplier of sports news, betting tools as well as data and odds for Sports Betting fans, has suggested
that Connecticut’s online and retail sportsbook will fail to launch before the opening NFL fixture of the 2021 season.

As Connecticut law-makers work to regulate and eventually launch Sports Betting throughout the state a number of key
obstacles are yet to be overcome. The region's two tribal-partnered online Sportsbooks are yet to receive state approval. With a
meeting of government officials planned for August 31, the decision is likely to take a number of weeks.

In regards to the launch of retail Sportsbooks, DraftKings and FanDuel, who both already operate fantasy leagues in the
state and plan to launch Sportsbooks through partnerships with the Mashantucket Pequot and Mohegan Tribes, are still awaiting
federal approval. The department of the interior is set to make its decision regarding approval on September 9, the day the NFL season begins.

Once approval is given, Rush Street Interactive will also launch both an online and retail sportsbook in partnership with the
Connecticut Lottery, joining DraftKings and FanDuel. With the opening of these three locations Connecticut will have more live
Sportsbooks than all other New England options combined, with Rhode Island and New Hampshire only having one each.

As the start of the NFL season approaches, more states are taking steps to regulate and legalize Sports Betting. New York is planning to launch its online Sports Betting market in early 2022 and Ohio lawmakers are in the process of approving the states Sports Betting bill.
