I wish you see all the things in my room
It’s a very special place made just for me
Not a real room of any size can it be
Because My Room lives inside of me
It’s the place I go when I’m sad or mad
I’m there many times just to be glad
Glad to run from all that brings me down
Little things that always causes me to frown
At first My Room was packed with time
Wall to wall , floor to ceiling ,and corner to corner
Time to wish away so I could get things done
To be old enough so I could have more fun
Now those boxes of time I had have been replaced
Walls covered with pictures of life’s memories
A friend here and a loved one there to still embrace
Places I have seen and others I have only dreamed
If I could only share with you this room of mine
To show you all these years how I’ve spent my time
But I can only tell you it’s true this room in my heart
And I’m sure you too have a room where you depart
Someday My Room will be empty and cold
When it’s time runs out and I’m just too old
I hope I go forth to a place of happiness and joy
But for now I will cherish the place I call My Room<o
